Banxia Software Ltd. in Kendal, Cumbria (UK) was formed in September 1994 to develop and market decision software. Following the success of its first product, Frontier Analyst®, in 1996, Banxia® licensed software that had been originally developed by academics at the University of Strathclyde, a renowned management school in the UK. That application became Decision Explorer®, the critically acclaimed cognitive mapping and causal loop analysis software innovative tool that now has hundreds of major international commercial, government and academic users.
